00:00 Before we get into what's upcoming for the weekend, Dean, the one thing in New York City
00:05 and southeastern New England, last 30 days can't get a break with the rain.
00:09 It has been wet, wet, wet.
00:11 Yeah, the total opposite of what you were just talking about in the middle of the country
00:14 where we have drought situations.
00:16 It really goes back to me to since about July where it's something like 60 or 70 percent
00:22 of the weekend days in the New York City and Boston areas have had some rain and certainly
00:27 the totality of the rain along the eastern seaboard there has been really, really promagnetic
00:33 and influential.
00:34 And so we're going to see some more this weekend, although this weekend is going to be limited
00:39 to some areas.
00:40 Let's talk about that.
00:41 As you said, New England may get spared here this weekend.
00:44 New England gets spared, no doubt about that, Dean.
00:47 But you know, you're talking about New York City.
00:49 I mean, you're in you're talking to the folks in New York City every day.
00:53 They've got to be tired of this.
00:54 They are.
00:55 And it's been awful.
00:56 Yeah, it's it has been awful.
00:57 I think you have to go back to there wasn't much rain over the weekend, a Labor Day weekend,
01:02 but amounts of rain, of course, that deluge a couple of weeks ago where it caused massive
01:07 flooding problems Friday into early Saturday.
01:10 And so they do want a break, but they're not going to get it in New York City this weekend.
01:14 It looks like there will be some really steady and kind of ugly rain that's coming in for
01:19 mid to late day tomorrow into tomorrow night.
01:21 But then the good news is it looks like this storm will pull away and get a little bit
01:25 better as we get into Sunday.
01:27 You know, the problem is, though, Dean, is we take a look at the seven day actual weather
01:31 forecast.
01:32 You don't you don't see a lot of sunshine and you don't see a lot of warmth either as
01:36 we get into the late latter half of next week.
01:39 Yeah, what you are talking about in the Midwest, once that storm departs through them and then
01:44 takes its situation over to the eastern seaboard, there's a lot of energy and a lot of chill
01:50 in the upper levels of the atmosphere that's just going to sit over the Great Lakes in
01:53 the northeast.
01:54 So, yeah, that weekend or that week forecast doesn't look good.
01:57 And I think we both are kind of dreading the fact that there's going to be another weekend
02:01 in New York City the following weekend, next weekend, which could have some wetness, too,
02:05 as you look at the long range models.
02:07 So this kind of pattern isn't going to be broken anytime soon.
02:11 And I may have to go into witness protection program on 1010 Winds on 92.3 FM.
02:15 And this keeps up for the weekends.
02:16 You were talking about next weekend, Dean.
02:18 Yeah.
02:19 Yes.
02:20 Last week or yesterday, our long range department and Joe Lumberg.
02:23 We issued this map, Dean.
02:24 You're talking about next weekend, which could be potentially much wetter over a larger area.
02:32 You know, the only good news is it's not yet December because with this kind of setup,
02:36 we're talking about snow.
02:38 So yeah, it looks like a chilly, cool week with some showers and then this potential
02:42 storm again next weekend.
02:44 We'll keep our eyes on it here over the next couple of days right here at AccuWeather.
