00:00I'm storm chaser Mike Skitland reporting right now from Interstate 40 in Central
00:04Arkansas. You can see behind me traffic moving along just fine. I've got two
00:08clear lanes in each direction here in Russellville. Now further east toward
00:11Little Rock it's a completely different story through those those hills there
00:15and those trouble spots. Now on my way out of Little Rock headed this direction
00:19I did stop and help one more person push out of a snowbank with a couple of other
00:23fellows. That was Kevin Weddle and Joe Ferris and I spoke with them about the
00:28storms impacts and needing to stop and help whenever you can.
00:31Man snow's slick. Snow's slick. Had what 18 inches a couple years ago? Yeah. That one was bad. That's just what you do.
00:39Yeah. It's the way of life. You see somebody who needs help, you help them. Yeah I feel like it's something that's dying in the world. You know what I mean?
00:44There's nothing we need more of around this world. I'll tell you that. And Joe is spot-on. That's
00:48definitely something we need to see more of in this world. Now back to the weather.
00:51My trek to Russellville from Little Rock rather treacherous in some of those
00:56areas. Now Maumelle up into Mayflower, Conway areas. In those hillier areas
01:02definitely still some trouble spots. Now RDOT has done a phenomenal job staying
01:05ahead of this storm. As you can see here the interstate here is proof of that. Now
01:09definitely still some trouble spots towards Little Rock. The county and local
01:13municipalities those road crews are having a little bit of a tougher time.
01:16And as these snow swells move out here we just have the heaviest one right on
01:21the back edge move through and now we've got blue skies here. Those blue skies are going to be a
01:24welcome sight for those road crews who need to get caught up here further into
01:28central Arkansas. In Russellville for AccuWeather, I'm storm chaser Mike Scanton.
