00:00 Pascal Strook has been involved as a captain recently.
00:04 I suppose progress has gone under the radar at the start of this new season.
00:09 What are your thoughts on him specifically?
00:11 I think so, a little bit.
00:13 Naturally in football, the focus is on attacking players.
00:18 Obviously, Giorgino Routier has been the one that everyone has been talking about.
00:21 The way he has started the new season.
00:23 Obviously, Joel Pirro with his goals.
00:25 And then obviously, the emergence of Archie Gray.
00:28 You look at Pascal at the back and just quietly, he is really coming along and really improving.
00:33 You have this situation obviously with Leeds now where obviously when everybody was fully fit and back,
00:37 you obviously would have Pascal Strook, Joe Roden and Liam Cooper in there.
00:40 You have got three centre-backs and obviously unless you go three at the back or shift one of them to a full-back position,
00:45 they cannot all start.
00:47 Obviously, we saw Roden come out of the side for the game at Southampton.
00:50 I can see why that happened because obviously, they went into it on the back of a victory.
00:55 But ultimately, I think they missed him an awful lot.
00:57 You sort of wondered, what about Pascal's place?
00:59 But he has probably been Leeds' most solid defender really.
01:03 Obviously, the captain's armband in the last game before the international break,
01:07 that was somewhat by default I suppose because obviously, Liam Cooper and Luke Hayling were both on the bench.
01:13 But he is not quite as vocal as those players.
01:15 But in his own way, he leads the side, really sets by example by his performance I suppose.
01:21 You have got to remember with Pascal, he is still only 24.
01:23 So, there is an awful lot of improvement to come.
01:25 For a 24-year-old, he has only played 109 games for Leeds, which is not much because obviously,
01:29 he came in basically to the U21s to start with and then sort of worked his way up from there.
01:34 But he is a really impressive player.
01:35 Obviously, he has got aspirations of international duties with Holland.
01:38 I am sure he will get there eventually.
01:39 But yes, it is already getting to the stage with him.
01:42 I think I was one of the people that said when everybody was fit,
01:44 he might be the one that might come out of the side.
01:46 But not in the way he is playing at the moment.
01:48 He is going from strength to strength.
01:50 Whilst the focus somewhat has been on more and other players in his own way,
01:54 Pascal has been very, very impressive indeed and long may it continue. There's a lot more
01:57 to come from him I think.
