00:04 4th. One man is in hospital and another is in police custody after a stabbing in Worthing.
00:10 Sussex Police said officers received a report that a man had been stabbed in a media park
00:14 around 5.45pm on Tuesday. They said a 43-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries
00:20 and another 43-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.
00:26 A media park was sealed off by police on Tuesday night, with pictures showing multiple officers
00:30 at the scene. Two air ambulances also landed in Victoria Park around 6.30pm. Anyone with
00:36 any relevant information is asked to report it to Sussex Police online or via 101.
00:40 Meanwhile, at least seven fire crews were called to a blaze at a block of flats in Brighton.
00:45 A fire broke out at a residential property in Saunders Park View around 6.20pm on Tuesday.
00:51 Firefighters used breathing apparatus, an aerial ladder platform and two main jets,
00:56 and they were supported by police officers and ambulance crews at the scene.
00:59 Whilst the incident was ongoing, a fire service spokesperson said, "If you are local to the
01:02 area, please keep windows and doors closed. Please avoid Saunders Park View and the Lewish
01:06 Road area." In an update, at 8.20pm, the fire service said crews were scaling back
01:12 the incident and reducing attendance. A statement read, "The fire has been extinguished.
01:16 Lewish Road is about to be reopened, but please continue to avoid Saunders Park View, which
01:21 remains closed. All persons are accounted for and residents are being looked after at
01:25 a local rest centre by the local authority." Finally, two Sussex Village pubs have been
01:29 ranked among the world's top 10% of dining and drinking establishments. The Greenman
01:34 at Partridge Green and the White Lion in Thakelham both gained accolades while being named as
01:38 Traveller's Choice 2023 on TripAdvisor. Delighted Greenman owners Nick and Becky Ills posted
01:44 a message about the award on their social media page and praised their staff. Becky
01:48 said, "We were truly thrilled to receive this award this morning as it means so much
01:51 to Nick and I, but particularly for our truly hard-working Greenman team who are the heroes
01:55 behind us. It is lovely to be part of such a highly regarded and exclusive group."
