00:00 Hello, I'm Sam Morton and here is your daily Sussex News bulletin on Thursday May 16th.
00:06 Queen Camilla is making a visit to the historic Sussex town of Rye today.
00:11 The Queen will visit the 900-year-old St Mary's Church where bells will ring out to greet her arrival.
00:16 Within the church, Her Majesty will have an opportunity to meet representatives from local organisations who have supported their community.
00:24 This includes the Royal Voluntary Service of which Her Majesty is patron, the Mothers Union, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution and the Royal British Legion.
00:32 Her Majesty will also meet the bell ringers who welcomed her.
00:35 RNLI volunteers came to the rescue after two people were cut off by the tide in East Sussex.
00:41 New Haven RNLI said its volunteer lifeboat crew was alerted shortly after midday on Sunday to two people cut off by the tide east of Seaford Beach.
00:51 The RNLI said two people had been cut off by the tide between Splash Point and Hope Gap east of Seaford Beach on a fishing vessel in the area.
00:59 Once safely recovered, the casualties were checked over by the crew. Both casualties were then transferred to the safety of Seaford Beach.
01:06 Finally, after undergoing a complete refurbishment, a popular West Sussex pub is back open for business.
01:12 The climping favourite, The Oyster Catcher, shut for the whole of March in order for a full remodel of the interior and exterior to take place.
01:19 A spokesman for The Oyster Catcher said, "The new look pays homage to the traditional roots and picturesque location of The Oyster Catcher whilst also breathing in new life into the pub, giving it a fresh contemporary feel."
01:31 Among the notable changes are a stunning new beer garden and elegantly styled interiors, perfect for getting together with friends and family.
