Alex Donno breaks down the big picture for the Miami Hurricanes after their win over Temple and 4-0 start.
Transcript
00:00 Not only are the Hurricanes 4-0 for the first time in a long time, the last time Miami scored
00:05 38 or more points in each of their first four games was 2002.
00:13 I hope offensive recruits, especially those wide receivers that Miami is still looking
00:18 at or trying to flip, I hope that you guys are taking notice that you can come to Miami
00:23 or stay home at Miami, score a lot of points, and have a lot of fun running Shannon Dawson's
00:29 offense because it looks fun to play in.
00:32 And the big thing for me, big picture before we get into the small pictures and analysis,
00:37 Miami Hurricanes just beat the Temple Owls 41-7.
00:40 I've got a lot to say about it, but big picture now is we're headed into the bye week, third
00:44 of the way through the season, four out of 12 regular season games played.
00:49 The Miami Hurricanes have significantly raised their floor from a year ago.
00:54 Really starts with the line of scrimmage on both sides of the football where you can now
01:00 trust this team to go out there and take care of business against lesser competition.
01:06 You couldn't say that last year.
01:08 Every game was heart palpitations, no matter who you played against.
01:12 We have seen Miami beat up and look good beating up three inferior opponents, but to be fair,
01:19 Miami's also won a game that they weren't supposed to win against Texas A&M.
01:22 We've seen the Hurricanes flash a little bit when the lights were bright as well.
01:27 So in my opinion, you'd be hard pressed to ask for a better start than what you've had.
01:34 Four games in, heading into the bye week, you're about to start conference play.
01:38 It's all ACC the rest of the way.
01:41 The Hurricanes have had a darn good start to the year.
01:43 And for what it's worth, you're only one victory away from tying your win total from last year.
01:49 Not that that's where any of us set the bar.
01:51 We're not setting the bar at five wins.
01:53 We're setting the bar a lot higher, but your next victory will tie your season total from
01:58 a year ago.
01:59 And I'm sure Miami is going to be pretty heavily favored against Georgia Tech in a couple of
02:04 weeks at home coming off the bye week.
02:05 Of course, you have to go out there and actually take care of business.
