00:00 First of all, one of the good and bad things that stand out about
00:04 Temple's quarterback, EJ Warner, who is the son of Kurt Warner.
00:08 And I didn't know that Kurt was his high school offensive coordinator.
00:11 Uh, so, you know, obviously, uh, it's, it's very much a family business
00:14 there playing quarterback.
00:16 And so EJ on the one hand, something he does really well is get rid of the football.
00:21 Quickly got one of the fastest releases in NCAA football, 2.3 seconds.
00:27 So even if Miami pressures him, sacking him will not necessarily be an easy thing to do.
00:31 At the same time.
00:33 Uh, it's not like he's having a great year so far.
00:36 Liam, the completion percentage, very pedestrian at 52 and a half.
00:40 He's got four touchdowns to two interceptions.
00:42 What have you seen so far this year from young EJ?
00:44 Yeah, I think saying a 52% of being pedestrian is a little bit generous.
00:50 So, um, but no, I mean, nothing too much jumping off the board.
00:55 I mean, at the end of the day, what really is this temple hours team?
00:58 I mean, when his real opponent that he faced was Rutgers, you know, he put up a
01:02 touchdown, two interceptions was his guys for sack got sacked for the first time and
01:07 was at 42.6% completion.
01:11 So, you know, they've only played, you know, three, obviously three games so far.
01:16 They have two wins, but those are over Akron and Norfolk state.
01:19 So what really does that tell us when, you know, Miami comes into this game with at
01:23 least, you know, having some more credible talent, you know, that they faced with,
01:27 you know, Texas A&M and even Miami, Ohio, who, you know, went out there and upset
01:32 Cincinnati in that game last weekend.
01:34 So.
01:35 You know, I'm not really too high on this temple team from what I've done my
01:39 research on, uh, honestly, you know, EJ still a young guy.
01:42 He's a true sophomore.
01:43 You know, it wasn't that long ago when I heard from my cousin, he was like, Oh,
01:47 like, look who our starting quarterback is here in town.
01:51 It's EJ Warner and his dad, you know, is our offensive coordinator.
01:54 So funny enough to see there, but.
01:56 I don't know.
01:58 He could, you know, live up to the name, but I think this defensive line is actually
02:03 really going to get out for him.
02:04 And, uh, it's not going to be a one sack on his season total at the end of the game.
02:08 I think it might be a little bit more than that.
02:10 Well, there's two ways he could live up to the Warner name.
02:13 He could either play like a pro football hall of famer, or he could play
02:16 like someone bagging groceries.
02:17 Cause that was the, that, that was the first part of the Kurt Warner career arc
02:21 before he became the quarterback that he later became with the Rams and
02:25 with the Cardinals and all that.
02:26 Uh, what about, uh, temples defense?
02:29 Uh, it looked like they got really gashed on the ground by Rutgers.
02:33 Uh, we're looking at potentially some pretty horrific weather at this game.
02:37 A hundred percent chance of rain.
02:38 Um, so, you know, we could be dealing with a sloppy field and I know Miami
02:44 with the horses they have up front.
02:46 I I've referred to Miami's offensive line is one that is built for the muck.
02:50 Okay.
02:51 So they're going to be ready for this.
02:53 How do you think Miami can do against temples defense?
02:55 Yeah.
02:56 I mean, against Rutgers, they let up 254 rushing yards and, you know, we know
03:01 that Shannon Dawson just likes to play around with his offense.
03:04 He can go, Oh, I want to be an air raid today.
03:07 I want to be a ground and pound team.
03:08 And I imagine if the weather, you know, is going to be what we expect it to be up
03:13 there in Philadelphia, that they will run the ball heavily, uh, you know, looking
03:17 to see if Mark Fletcher will be coming back for that game will be good to see
03:20 there, but, you know, we saw great stuff from Don Chaney, AJ Allen, and of course,
03:24 Henry parish.
03:25 So I have no problem thinking that our run game will dominate against a temple.
03:30 And, you know, we see our fair share of bad weather here in South Florida,
03:34 unfortunately, but, uh, I do imagine that, you know, they'll establish the past game
03:39 early, it's going to be hard to keep Tyler van Dyck and Xavier Rochepo slowed down.
03:44 And then, uh, I totally see, you know, a ground and pound action, just, you know,
03:49 beating the brakes off temple and really getting the running attack going this game.
03:53 Okay.
03:53 Yeah.
03:58 Yeah.
