00:00 What up GQ, I'm Kelly O'Hara and these are my essentials.
00:03 [upbeat music]
00:06 Freshly baked homemade cookies.
00:13 These were made like not even two hours ago.
00:16 Unfortunately, it is a regular occurrence.
00:19 I feel like I go through periods where I make cookies a lot
00:21 and then try to be good and stop making them,
00:23 but my mom was a big baker
00:27 and she always had freshly made cookies in the house.
00:31 So I definitely get this from her.
00:33 I've perfected my own chocolate chip cookie recipe
00:37 and I just always, I have a bad sweet tooth.
00:41 This is the Breville Barista Express.
00:46 It is the espresso machine that I have at home.
00:50 I'm obsessed with it.
00:51 I use it pretty much every single day if I have time,
00:55 which thankfully I usually do.
00:57 It's kind of like a non-negotiable.
00:58 I have to have my espresso drink in the morning.
01:00 So I love this guy.
01:02 My Beat Everybody hat.
01:07 It is pretty beat up as you can see,
01:10 but Beat Everybody is the brand that I started
01:14 with my friends, Ali Long and Alex Morgan.
01:16 They're also teammates.
01:18 We started it after the 2019 World Cup.
01:20 When we beat everybody, we had made shirts
01:22 that said like USA versus everybody
01:24 for the World Cup to sell.
01:26 We made fan gear and afterwards when we won,
01:29 we made a shirt that said USA beat everybody
01:32 and people loved it and we loved the concept
01:35 of beat everybody.
01:36 We think it's a really cool phrase
01:38 and we were like, that's what we should call our company.
01:40 And so we've been making gear ever since 2019
01:43 for our fans and for ourselves.
01:45 And it's fun to be able to design stuff
01:47 that you know you're gonna wear and you get to wear.
01:50 I love watches.
01:54 This is like my go-to everyday watch.
01:58 If I'm not wearing this, I'm wearing one of these three
02:01 and these are, each one of these
02:06 hold sentimental value to me.
02:08 They were all gifts and this one,
02:12 this tag watch was for my 100th cap
02:15 with the national team, which was really cool
02:17 and really special.
02:19 It has the crest on the back engraved and I love it.
02:22 You know, whenever I put it on or whenever I wear it,
02:25 I think about that moment and achieving that milestone
02:29 with national team.
02:30 This Omega was a Olympic gift.
02:34 So on the back, you have the rings.
02:38 It says Olympic team.
02:39 This is from 2016.
02:40 We got these.
02:41 I love it.
02:42 This one's like a little weightier, which is really cool
02:44 and I really enjoy this one.
02:45 And then this Rolex was a gift after 2019 World Cup
02:51 from Under Armour, one of my sponsors,
02:53 which it's a beautiful watch, one,
02:56 and it just holds so much meaning for me.
03:00 And, you know, obviously Rolex is, it's a legacy brand
03:05 and they make beautiful pieces, but when I put it on,
03:08 I think about everything that went into that journey
03:10 and I think about my Under Armour family
03:13 and how much they've supported me through my journey.
03:16 So yeah, it's nice to, when I'm not just rocking
03:19 an Apple watch, to wear one of these and to, you know,
03:23 be a little nostalgic and think back on the memories
03:26 that involve them.
03:27 Sunflower seeds, a little bit healthier than cookies,
03:33 thankfully.
03:34 These are a staple for me.
03:36 The original flavor, I don't go with any
03:39 of the other flavors.
03:40 I just like the salt of these.
03:41 And these are with me basically everywhere I go.
03:44 They stay in my bag.
03:47 They're great for road trips, plane rides.
03:50 They just are like, I eat them in the locker room
03:52 before games.
03:54 I just, I really enjoy sunflower seeds.
03:57 And again, they're healthier than cookies,
03:58 so it's good to have on all the time.
04:00 Oh my God, okay, we got it, we got it, okay.
04:05 All right, this is a yoga ball and this is a bouncy ball
04:11 that you could probably get out of a little vending machine,
04:15 but I get them on Amazon in bulk.
04:17 So these, this is a life hack.
04:20 I, these are always in my bag.
04:22 Yoga ball is great for trigger point release,
04:25 like muscle stuff.
04:27 So I'm always rolling out using this guy.
04:29 It's really great for if you sit a lot,
04:32 like you're driving, you're at an office,
04:33 or you're flying, put it behind you, roll out,
04:37 hit whatever sore spots you got,
04:39 or if you have tight muscles.
04:41 And the bouncy ball is specifically for the foot.
04:45 So I have high arches and I get sore feet
04:48 because I'm a soccer player,
04:49 and that's just par for the course.
04:51 So I roll my arch out on this,
04:52 and it is the only thing that gets into my foot
04:57 the way I want it to.
04:58 And every teammate that I let use this,
05:01 they're always like, "Hey, you done with that yet?
05:02 "Can I use it?"
05:03 So I think I'm just gonna buy a bag
05:04 and put it in the locker room.
05:06 [upbeat music]
05:08 My sneakers.
05:10 Under Armour Forges.
05:13 They're my favorite pair.
05:15 That Under Armour make, they're sick.
05:17 They made these a couple years ago,
05:19 they just came back out with more.
05:22 They're so comfortable, they look really cool,
05:26 they kind of have a retro feel to them.
05:28 I love these shoes.
05:28 Wear them all the time,
05:29 they're great for cruising around the city,
05:31 just 'cause they have so much cushion to them.
05:34 Yeah, they're cool shoes.
05:36 I love to rock 'em,
05:37 and if I'm not wearing running shoes,
05:40 I'm wearing these guys.
05:41 [upbeat music]
05:44 Bring 'em in here.
05:45 I know, it's absolutely ridiculous,
05:47 but it's my reality, which is kind of crazy.
05:51 All right, reusable drinkware.
05:53 I use this little set of four every single day.
05:57 I really do need a little holder,
06:00 because in the morning it's espresso in here,
06:04 smoothie in here, water in here, electrolytes in here.
06:08 Yeti makes incredible products, I love their stuff.
06:12 We probably have 10 of these in our house,
06:13 which is not overkill, surprisingly,
06:15 because we use them for everything.
06:18 But with my espresso drink, it's small,
06:21 it's not even six ounces,
06:23 so it seemed silly to have this,
06:25 so I got this, and it works well for that drink.
06:29 And then my fiance got me hooked on Stanleys.
06:34 I thought it was a little obnoxious at first.
06:37 I'm like, "Come on, babe."
06:39 It's huge, the handle, the straw,
06:42 but she wasn't wrong.
06:44 This goes with me everywhere.
06:45 Even at home, this is what I'm drinking water out of,
06:48 just so I can keep track of if I'm staying hydrated.
06:50 I am Team Stanley now.
06:52 And then a water bottle, clothes top,
06:55 that's the issue with these.
06:57 You know, they will leak.
06:59 You can't just throw 'em in a bag,
07:00 so you kind of have to be careful with them.
07:02 But stainless steel water bottle.
07:04 As much as we travel, to me it's important
07:07 to always have a water bottle on you, throw it in a bag.
07:09 Because it has a top that you can shake it,
07:11 it's like you're making a little mixed drink.
07:13 My mixed drink of choice is my electrolytes.
07:16 I love Element, those are my go-to.
07:18 And I have one of those every morning,
07:20 and it goes in here, shake it up.
07:23 I'm ready to go after all of my liquid consumption.
07:25 [upbeat music]
07:28 Recovery, so essential to my life,
07:33 especially as I get older.
07:35 Normatex are daily usage by me.
07:39 This is basically the machine part of it.
07:42 This is the little hose, and then there's two of these,
07:45 but they're like, we call them big legs.
07:47 You zip it up and then you slide your leg into it,
07:49 and it compresses section by section.
07:53 And I'm in these, like I said, every single day.
07:57 They're great for after a flight,
07:59 after a game, after training.
08:01 It just, it feels like a little bit of a massage,
08:03 but then also a flush.
08:06 And nothing, in my opinion,
08:08 replicates what these can do,
08:10 and they do a fantastic job.
08:11 I do not, like when we're on road trips,
08:13 even for a day or two, these are coming with me.
08:16 And then KT Tape, love this stuff.
08:19 Great for a little bit of support.
08:22 You got a bruise or a knock, you just toss this on.
08:25 Maybe a little strain,
08:27 or you're feeling something coming on.
08:29 I wear this pretty much daily.
08:30 Anytime after practice I'm feeling something,
08:32 I throw it on during practice, before practice.
08:36 I love this stuff, and it's really nice
08:37 because it's like, I can apply it myself.
08:40 It's very easy.
08:41 It gives you that extra 1% that, you know,
08:43 we're all looking for.
08:45 [upbeat music]
08:46 Cora Organics, their turmeric face wash and face lotion.
08:51 So my fiance, this is Miranda Kerr's brand.
08:55 My fiance sat next to her at a dinner.
08:56 She graciously said, "I'll send you some products."
08:59 She sent them, I obviously used them.
09:01 And I became absolutely hooked.
09:04 Once I find something I love,
09:06 I am sold and won't go back.
09:09 And when it comes to face, I want easy, but I want good.
09:14 And both of these are, I use them every single day.
09:18 It was at a time I found them that, or not I, huh,
09:21 my fiance found them,
09:23 that I was kind of looking for like more natural,
09:25 you know, clean beauty products.
09:27 And this is that.
09:29 And my face has never felt better.
09:32 [upbeat music]
09:35 Thanks guys for checking out my essentials.
09:37 I'll see y'all next time and this summer at the World Cup.
