00:00Hey, this is Beacon's Closet, I'm Young, and today we are going to spin through the suits and jackets rack.
00:05I'll be giving you my first impressions about every item of clothing on this rack,
00:09so you can better understand how to thrift for quality suits and jackets.
00:14Let's start with this guy here.
00:17Seems like a pretty cool, old-school, double-breasted suit.
00:22That's made in Canada, as was I, so that's already a plus in my book.
00:26Late 80s, probably early 90s silhouette.
00:29It's got what's called a six-by-one button closure.
00:33That means there's six buttons on the front, but only one of them actually closes and works.
00:40Hey, future Young here, jumping in with a little more context.
00:43The thing about a six-by-one button stance is that,
00:46because there's only one button being buttoned at the very bottom of the jacket,
00:50it makes everything a little longer, a little more elegant.
00:54It makes everything feel a little classier and more formal.
00:57It's got this really nice houndstooth pattern. I like that a lot.
01:01Depending on the size of it, people will call it puppy tooth or whatever,
01:04so maybe that's what this is. It's like a micro houndstooth.
01:08Interrupting here again just to say, houndstooth actually originated in Scotland in the 1800s,
01:13and it was used mainly on hunting clothes.
01:15The lapels are a good size, and this style is honestly really coming back,
01:19sort of a boxier, looser-fit suit.
01:22It was the kind of suit you'd want to run miles away from screaming 10 years ago.
01:28A really classic example of that 90s fit that people still love is Giorgio Armani suits from the early 90s.
01:34For $45, that's a pretty decent suit that you can rock on the weekends,
01:39you can wear out to a bar, and you'll look pretty cool.
01:43I'll give you a good idea of what used to be cool and is sort of on the way out,
01:47which are super slim, skinny suits.
01:49It works on certain guys if you have the right build for it.
01:52This is definitely a suit that is a little out of date and a little too slim
01:58and probably won't stand the test of time.
02:01Just based on the style, just how slim and skinny these lapels are,
02:04and how tapered these pants are, these are going to fit you like your skinny jeans from Warped Tour.
02:09It's 60% wool, 40% polyester, and fully lined polyester,
02:15so you can really feel the polyester quality of it.
02:18Polyester is a synthetic fabric that's usually made from gas, petroleum.
02:24It is a cheaper alternative to natural fibers like cottons or wools,
02:29and you can sort of feel it on a suit because it'll be a little too slick,
02:33it'll feel a little too much like your gym clothes.
02:35It'll give the suit sort of an unnatural sheen that you don't want that really looks like a cheap suit.
02:41I would probably avoid a suit like this right now.
02:45This is a jacket I would probably only recommend picking up if you're going to a costume party, maybe.
02:51It is that sort of polyester fabric from the 70s.
02:55It's got these crazy wide lapels, and this plaid, I love a plaid blazer on the right day,
03:01but this one is probably not that.
03:04It's also missing a button, which is not great.
03:06It just doesn't really scream professional or cool in any real way.
03:11It's a little more right for Halloween, perhaps.
03:16Okay, we got this.
03:17This is sort of a thing that you're going to find on racks like this and in stores like this a lot that kind of bugs me,
03:23which is where this is very clearly a suit jacket.
03:25The matching pants aren't here, and maybe that's because the person who donated this didn't provide the pants.
03:31Maybe the pants are on another rack over there somewhere.
03:33I'm not really sure, but, you know, you can sort of tell that this isn't a sport coat or a blazer.
03:38Generally speaking, sport coats and blazers are going to be made of, you know, slightly different material.
03:44You can sort of tell just from the wool and the pinstripe of it all, like, this is definitely cut and meant to be a suit jacket.
03:51You know, oftentimes, like, sort of fall-winter sport coats are going to be a little bit thicker, like the one that I'm wearing.
03:56That's a little tweedier.
03:57A blazer will, like, generally have, like, gold or brass buttons,
04:01and then this is just sort of, you know, quite clearly, like, meant to have matching pants, and it doesn't.
04:06That's just a thing to avoid altogether, because there's no way you're really going to wear this with jeans or with trousers or anything,
04:11and it'll look quite right.
04:13We talked a little crap about this plaid jacket, but this plaid suit, on the other hand, is very sick to me.
04:21This is kitschy and retro in a good way to me.
04:23It has a lot to do with this fabric, which is a beautiful wool.
04:27The great thing about wool is that it's a natural fiber.
04:30Wool lasts so long because its fibers are very resilient.
04:34You can wear it over and over again, and it'll take a really long time for it to actually break down the way that something a little bit lighter, like a cotton or polyester might.
04:44This is a really cool detail, too.
04:46It was made expressly for Isaac Baker & Son in Erie, Pennsylvania.
04:50You know, back in the day, like, there were all these really cool little stores that would have, like, you know, like, suiting programs,
04:56and this just reads to me, like, in the best way possible, like, you know, like a 70s anchorman.
05:03Big, bold lapels, big, bold plaid, these kind of wide-legged, almost bell-bottomy trousers.
05:09I wouldn't be surprised to see this, you know, like, on a Gucci runway.
05:16Here we have a suede jacket of sorts, which is kind of cool.
05:21It's kind of giving me sort of like 80s lounge singer vibes.
05:24It is from a brand from Italy that I've never heard of called La Mata.
05:29I'm sure I'm saying that wrong.
05:31It is 100% leather, and it was made in Italy.
05:33This is a pretty cool jacket for $30.
05:35It says, as is, which leads me to believe that there's probably some damage somewhere that I'm not seeing.
05:40I guess there's some scuffs back here, but suede can be notoriously difficult to clean and care for.
05:44Suede is a type of leather that is made with the underside of the animal skin,
05:49which is why it's so much softer and nappier and fuzzier.
05:54That fuzziness is beautiful, but it can also lend itself to a whole host of problems
05:59if you wear it out in the snow or the rain.
06:02It's just really not going to hold up all that well to the elements.
06:05You know, if you're getting something for $30 and it's in pretty good shape,
06:08you can kind of, like, wear it into the ground and not feel too guilty about that, which is cool.
06:15This is, you know, not a bad-looking Hugo Boss made-in-USA sort of tweedy sport coat.
06:22This is also, like, feels kind of late 90s, maybe early 2000s to me in some ways,
06:28just based on the lapel width and this fabric, which, like, sort of looks like something, you know,
06:35my dad would have worn to work in, like, 1998.
06:38The fabric here is 100% virgin wool.
06:41It's not bad. I think this is, like, kind of neither here nor there
06:43in terms of the things we've seen on the rack so far, but perfectly decent option.
06:50Now for something completely different.
06:53We got a full-on jumpsuit here.
06:56Just a cheaper one that is, yeah, is made to be worn to work and then disposed of
07:01and not really something that I would recommend, like, putting into your personal style.
07:06Here we've got another suit jacket in need of pants.
07:11Says it was made in Italy.
07:13It's a little bit rough around the edges.
07:14It looks like it was well-worn and, you know, people have been stuffing stuff in the pocket there.
07:18You start to see on suits, as they get worn, little threads kind of coming off here and there.
07:22Like, the edges of your cuffs are going to get kind of dirty and worn out.
07:26The lining will start to break, especially sometimes, like, under the underarm, I find.
07:31And then anything you're using, like a pocket, is probably going to get, you know,
07:34misshapen or stretched out over time.
07:36Kind of a cool pattern. Unfortunately, it doesn't have pants.
07:41One more suit jacket. No pants.
07:44Again, slightly outdated, slimmer lapel that we're less of a fan of these days.
07:48It's cost more than that suit jacket, and I would definitely get that suit jacket.
07:54Cool. This is a Christian Dior blazer. 60 bucks.
08:01Dior, obviously, a very famous name in fashion circles.
08:04You know, it's gone through different periods.
08:07You'll find a lot of Dior stuff for cheaper than you might expect
08:11because those things, you know, weren't necessarily made up to the same standard
08:15that the house is known for and known for again now.
08:18A little extra context here, in the 80s and 90s,
08:22Dior actually licensed this name out to a bunch of other companies
08:26who made their menswear and put the Dior name on it.
08:29That doesn't mean that this is bad clothing, necessarily.
08:31It's just probably not up to the standard you might think of when you think of Dior,
08:36which is, once again, today, one of the great and extremely cool Parisian fashion houses.
08:42Cool, kind of flaxy color with a lot of texture to it.
08:46You know, nice classic cut, great lapels.
08:49This is a cool jacket for 60 bucks.
08:51Ultimately, it's like a pretty nice, like, spring-summer weight blazer.
08:56This is like a looser, lighter weight, airier material.
09:00It's definitely more breathable.
09:02It is lined, but, you know, sometimes you'll see, like, spring-summer jackets are only half-lined or no lining at all.
09:07This is a great option if you're going to a wedding in the springtime.
09:11All right, this is kind of a nice little gem here.
09:15This is like a really cool camel sport coat from Nordstrom back in the day
09:20with the old Nordstrom house label, which is a cool kind of retro detail.
09:24The Nordstrom Classics for Men line, kind of cool.
09:27I'm wondering if this is old enough that it would be real camel hair or if it's wool.
09:32It is. It's 100% camel's hair.
09:34So camel hair really is made from the hair of a camel,
09:37which is a very soft and luxurious fabric.
09:41And it's often collected not by shearing a camel,
09:45but by simply picking up and collecting the hair that's left behind after the camel's annual shedding season.
09:52This is really gorgeous. Like, this is the real deal.
09:54It has that great tan color.
09:56You don't often see blazers or sport coats this color.
10:00This would look good over just, like, a white shirt and black or navy knit tie.
10:05This is a really good versatile option for every day.
10:09This is tough.
10:12There's a lot wrong here.
10:14These lapels are way too skinny.
10:17This fabric just, like, looks like, I don't know,
10:20like, if you went to someone's bouncer pad and this would probably be their sheets, you know,
10:24where you're just like, dude, just, like, get, like, white linen.
10:27It's going to be fine.
10:28The buttons here are way too close together.
10:30They're all kind of squinched up in a way that's going to, like, not make your midsection look very flattering.
10:36You really don't want the buttons to be all that close together
10:39because it's going to leave a lot of fabric on either side that will make you look wider.
10:44It's got this, this, like, kind of reflective paisley,
10:48which, like, you know, just screams guy on his fourth bachelor party in Vegas kind of thing.
10:55I guess this was custom tailored for somebody by Raymond Custom Tailoring.
11:02Boy, they could have just gotten something off the rack that would be a little bit nicer.
11:06So that's a, that's a tough beat.
11:10Here is a tuxedo jacket that I'm not really a fan of.
11:15It's got this bird's eye pattern with the satin lapels.
11:20This isn't a particularly nice bird's eye, but there are beautiful bird's eye suits out there.
11:24Generally speaking, tuxedo jackets, like, you know, they're a little fancier,
11:27and so they're the ones that are going to have these contrast satin lapels
11:32and oftentimes, like, silk or satin covered buttons.
11:35That doesn't mean that all tux jackets have those necessarily, but that is a hallmark of black tie.
11:42Okay, we're still running with a lot of these, these kind of slightly,
11:47I think there's a reason that a lot of these are on this rack, that people maybe toss these out.
11:52This is a, again, like, a slightly outdated jacket.
11:56I think, again, maybe was intended to be part of a suit, and the pants are gone.
12:00Perfectly forgettable, so let's keep moving.
12:05This is, again, half of a suit that's missing.
12:08This one's from Suitsupply.
12:09Slightly better lapels, again, they're slightly wider here,
12:13but without the pants, you're, you know, it's kind of a losing proposition.
12:18This is a pretty well-worn parka by the brand TNA, which I think is a spin-off of Aritzia.
12:27A lot of the ladies in my life have, growing up in Toronto, had jackets like this.
12:32I think this one is probably cut for women.
12:37When I'm looking for a new parka, I want it to be warm and really handsome,
12:42and this parka is not hitting in either category.
12:45Looks a little too skimpy to really protect you from the elements.
12:48You also want something that's going to look good with a lot of your clothes,
12:51and this sort of muddy color is really just not hitting for me.
12:54You can do better than this in terms of a parka, if it's that cold out, you know?
13:00Okay, what do we got here?
13:02So this is a spin by Andrew Mark on a duffel coat,
13:08you know, the kind of coat that Paddington Bear wears, for instance.
13:11This is not a particularly cool one, in my opinion.
13:14They just are doing too much, you know?
13:16Like, the duffel coat is a really classic British style.
13:19It emerged in the British Navy, and generations of, like, boarding school kids wore them,
13:26and it's cool, it's preppy, it's got, like, a lot of history to it.
13:29If you want the real deal in terms of duffel coats, definitely go for Gloverall.
13:33They sort of originated the style and still do it the best,
13:36and this one is just doing way too much.
13:38They added these zippers and all these fake leather things that look really shiny and plasticky,
13:43and there's an extra zip collar here for some reason, and the hood zips off.
13:47Like, it's just wrong.
13:51This is a leather puffer from Zara, so you kind of already know the deal here.
13:57It's, like, definitely not real leather.
13:59It definitely feels, like, vinyl or plasticky.
14:02I don't even think it'll be particularly that warm.
14:04It's, like, padded, but who knows with what?
14:06Probably a good one to skip.
14:07This is not the leather jacket you want to be wearing if you're going to look cool in a leather jacket.
14:12On the other hand, I would absolutely buy this.
14:16This is sick.
14:17This is a great old L.L. Bean coat.
14:20It's, like, sort of a field jacket, trail jacket style.
14:25This is the kind of thing that my dad, a dad, would have worn in the 90s.
14:30That's sort of the style I'm always looking to replicate.
14:33L.L. Bean, great old-school American brand, makes really quality stuff.
14:38I would guess it's from the late 80s, early 90s probably, somewhere in that region, maybe mid-90s,
14:45but this is made of 100% nylon, so it's going to be waterproof.
14:49It's going to be good in the rain, good for a hike, good for dropping the kids off at soccer practice,
14:54whatever the case might be.
14:55It's got this cool sort of cinched waist, which, you know, you don't really see that much anymore.
15:00It's got a nice, like, sort of three-quarter length.
15:03Really cool jacket, great color.
15:05Okay.
15:07This leather jacket, oh, it's got the button sort of falling off.
15:12You might think that I'm going to sort of trash this jacket and say that it is also not the kind of leather jacket you want,
15:18but honestly, like, this sort of leather jacket is really cool again,
15:21possibly because everybody watched The Sopranos during the pandemic.
15:25These sort of big, loose leather coats are just kind of rad again, if you can pull them off.
15:30It does take a specific kind of person and a specific kind of look to make this look cool and not frumpy,
15:36but it's definitely possible, and it's like, this is big and weighty.
15:40It says it's 100% leather, so, you know, an interesting thing about that is that if you see it say 100% leather or genuine leather,
15:48that does mean, yes, that it's leather, but it doesn't always mean it's necessarily the best quality leather.
15:53For $45, if you're the right person for this and you can pull it off and make it work, like, this is a cool leather coat.
16:00Okay.
16:02Obviously, I love a tweed jacket, and this one is very cool based on the cut of it.
16:09It's probably from the 50s or the 60s.
16:11Got these sort of slimmer, kind of mad men-ish lapels,
16:14and these are slimmer lapels, I think, in a good way, personally, because it sort of speaks to that era,
16:19and the cut is a little bit boxier.
16:21You heard me kind of bashing slimmer lapels earlier.
16:23These lapels are way too skinny, outdated, slimmer lapel, perfectly forgettable.
16:28I think it was, like, those specific slimmer lapels, which feel very, like, 2014, 2015 to me,
16:33and this one feels more natural.
16:35It fits the garment and kind of makes sense with the overall cut of this jacket.
16:40It's genuine Harris tweed, and Harris tweed is, like, the best tweed in the world.
16:44It's, like, well-known.
16:45It's made on the Isle of Harris in Scotland,
16:47and real Harris tweed will have, like, a badge like this, essentially,
16:51that sort of shows you that it was made by the independent Harris tweed producers.
16:56That's pretty cool, and this is a gorgeous blue tweed, which is quite rare.
17:00You don't often see tweeds this color, and it's got, similar to mine, it's got a herringbone pattern to it.
17:06Sort of zigzaggy pattern that you see right here in the wool.
17:11Herringbone is another extremely classic pattern, not just in menswear, but in the world.
17:16It actually originated way back in the Roman Empire, where it was used in buildings and in roadways.
17:23That's how they laid down the brick.
17:25Tweed is great because it's sturdy, you know.
17:27It's just got this, like, kind of great rough hone quality to it.
17:33You can sort of stand up to anything.
17:35It'll, you know, serve you well as, like, an outer layer on a crisp fall day.
17:39It's kind of bulletproof, and, you know, this one obviously has stood the test of time.
17:47Another kind of leather coat, but unlike the other boxy leather jacket we saw before,
17:51I'm not really a fan of this one.
17:53I'm not convinced that this is real leather.
17:55It does feel very kind of plasticky to me.
17:58It's got this kind of weird crunch that I don't like.
18:00Okay, so here we go.
18:01It says genuine leather.
18:02If you see genuine leather on a tag, it often indicates that it's a lower quality leather
18:09that's undergone a lot more processing.
18:11It's made up of, you know, different composites of sort of cheap leathers.
18:16You really want to make sure that your leather is full grain.
18:20And generally, if it says, you know, the kind of hide that it is, if it's calfskin, for instance,
18:25that's, like, normally a good sign.
18:26It means that it's made from a high-quality, beautiful leather that will age really nicely over time.
18:33And this is not that, unfortunately.
18:36Okay.
18:39This is a overshirt of sorts.
18:43This is the kind of tweed that you would normally see on, like, a Chanel pantsuit, perhaps, or a skirt suit.
18:50This is made of 100% polyester.
18:53It's weird because it's cut like a kind of a lumberjack-y plaid shirt,
18:57but then this is something that Cher from Clueless would wear, like the fabric.
19:01So I don't really know what it's going for, and probably good to skip this one, too.
19:07Another kind of longer leather coat.
19:10This is fine. Yeah, this is pretty cool.
19:11It's, like, old Kenneth Cole.
19:13I think this is probably cut for more feminine bodies, as well.
19:17Definitely based on the floral lining, but nice leather.
19:20It's nice and soft.
19:21If it fits your body, if you're slim enough to pull it off,
19:24I think it's a perfectly decent longer leather coat.
19:29So we've got this really cool Carl Connie jacket.
19:32Carl Connie was sort of early streetwear purveyor in the 90s,
19:36worn by a lot of rappers.
19:38You know, it's got a chore coat kind of cut to it with these big patch pockets on the fronts.
19:44So chore coats are, like, a workwear style.
19:47They're generally cut pretty wide and have these big pockets
19:51because they're meant to be worked in for people who do manual labor.
19:54And so to flip one in leather is a pretty cool move.
19:57It's a very wearable style.
20:01Okay, next up.
20:04Kenneth Cole Reaction Trench.
20:06Trench coats are always cool.
20:07This one, not so much, in my opinion.
20:09Ideally, you want a trench coat with some real length.
20:12You want it to go well past your knees, and this one's going to kind of hit mid-thigh.
20:16It's lined, which is, like, maybe nice on a cold, rainy day,
20:19but ideally you want a looser cut trench that can fit comfortably over a suit
20:25or over a big sweater or whatever you're wearing underneath.
20:28And I'm not totally sure that that's actually going to be the case here because it's cut so slim.
20:32Here we have a massively cut leather blazer.
20:37Leather blazers are sick.
20:39Anthony Bourdain used to wear them all the time and looked really cool in them every single time.
20:42This one, I'm a little torn about.
20:44I mean, it's so big that I'm having a hard time picturing, like,
20:47maybe if you're, like, 6'6", and this fits you properly, maybe it'll look cool.
20:53Or if you're, like, very slender and small, like, and it's super oversized,
20:57that might be kind of fun, like, in a Talking Heads kind of way, but I don't know.
21:01It's probably not right for most people.
21:03This is another leather coat.
21:05It's very big.
21:06It's padded.
21:07It's super heavy.
21:08It looks battered to hell, which, like, you know, is either a plus or a minus in your book,
21:14like, depending on your style, and it does feel, you know, a little bit cheaper leather.
21:19Again, it's that genuine leather that we've told you to look out for,
21:22so probably not the best leather jacket for the money.
21:26All right.
21:27We've got one more leather number here.
21:29This is a Double XL from Dockers.
21:33It's what they call a cafe racer style with this, like, kind of band collar here.
21:39You know, I'm no motorcycle expert, but it is a style of both bike and jacket.
21:44Not the world's nicest leather jacket, not the world's worst.
21:46Like, I think, again, on the right person, this could look perfectly fine and cool.
21:52All right.
21:53This is a Dolce & Gabbana Summer Blazer.
21:58You know, Dolce & Gabbana, very fancy labels,
22:00so that's, like, kind of maybe a good value for $55.
22:04It says as is, which makes me think that there's probably some damage or stains
22:07or something happening here that I'm not quite seeing right away,
22:10but I feel like it's maybe slightly purposely rumpled.
22:14Like, you could definitely steam all of this out, but, you know,
22:17the thing with cotton jackets, like, this is, like, a light cotton summery jacket.
22:21When you're wearing linen or cotton or any of these lighter summer fabrics,
22:25wrinkles are going to happen, and either you own them or you don't, you know?
22:29There's a lot to like about this jacket from my perspective.
22:32First of all, the label here, it says the territory ahead with this very 90s graphic.
22:39It looks like the kind of thing you would get on a, like, workbook in math class
22:44or, like, it's a cult.
22:46I have no idea, but I'm intrigued.
22:48And then that kind of just leads into the rest of this jacket,
22:51which sort of reads something Ethan Hawke would have worn in, like, Before Sunrise.
22:58It's just kind of, like, a little loose and bohemian, and it's 52% linen and 48% silk.
23:04Like I was saying, so linen jackets, like, they tend to wrinkle,
23:07but, you know, that rumpled quality is part of the appeal.
23:09This is more of a 90s cut, right?
23:11Like, if you watch, you know, TV shows from that era,
23:14this is the kind of jacket that guys were wearing back then.
23:17They liked things a little looser.
23:19It's got these casual patch pockets.
23:21This is not, like, a formal dressy blazer.
23:23This is, like, the kind of thing you throw on over a T-shirt and some Levi's
23:27and kind of hit the road in.
23:29Great thing to wear if you are riding the rails in Europe.
23:34All right, this is inching closer to a great trench.
23:37It's not perfect, but it's cooler than the last one.
23:41It's from a brand called the Glen Eagles.
23:44It's got this, like, sort of knockoff Burberry lining on here.
23:47Burberry purports to have invented the trench coat,
23:50so that's why a lot of brands try to nod towards that heritage.
23:53Trench coats originated in World War I,
23:56and they were designed to be long and durable
23:59to keep soldiers warm and dry throughout trench warfare.
24:02There are two main British brands who claim to have invented the trench coat,
24:06Burberry and Aqua Scutum.
24:08Both of them are pretty great in my opinion.
24:10It's got a really classic trench construction
24:13in terms of the double-breasted cut,
24:15the belt back here that you can either, you know,
24:18belt up or tie up in the front or tie up in the back,
24:20depending on how you want to wear it.
24:22It's got these flat pockets, which are good for keeping things dry
24:24in your pockets during the rain.
24:26And again, unlike the last one, it isn't overly lined,
24:29so, you know, this is going to sit more naturally
24:32over whatever you're wearing underneath
24:34and not feel too tight or constricting
24:37when you're wearing, like, a suit or a big sweater underneath.
24:40For $30, that's, like, pretty good value.
24:43OK.
24:45This is a pretty cool retro leather jacket.
24:48It's from Gino Leathers,
24:50and that already, like, sort of, like, you know,
24:53calls to mind, like, all sorts of crazy disco-y visions in my brain.
24:57And it has this, like, fur lining that you can unzip and take out
25:02depending on how hot or cold it is.
25:05And it's got these great slanted pockets
25:08and this cool contrast lining.
25:10And even though, yeah, probably isn't the nicest leather in the world,
25:13the overall look and aesthetic and style of it
25:16is so distinctive and so cool.
25:18Like, you know, this is, like, a jacket that, like,
25:22requires the owner to, like, own a Camaro
25:25and drive it as fast as possible.
25:27So pretty sick, honestly.
25:31OK, we have another duffle coat here.
25:35This one is not as offensive to me as the last one,
25:39but also not perfect and not something I'd necessarily recommend.
25:44But it's all right. This is fine.
25:46You can kind of feel this flannel isn't the nicest.
25:49It's, like, definitely kind of nappy
25:51and way too many pockets on the front here.
25:53This is an OK duffle coat.
25:55Here's our last coat on the rack.
25:57This is a sort of military-style parka from All Saints,
26:02a British brand.
26:04It's, like, aiming for the kind of cool military fishtail parka
26:09that, like, Liam Gallagher would wear onstage.
26:13And it's unfortunately landing closer to the sort of thing
26:17that, like, Jared Leto would wear onstage with 30 Seconds to Mars.
26:21So there's, like, a Velcro patch here.
26:23There's, like, kind of a faux, probably sheepskin-y lining in here
26:27that'll keep you warm that I think, again, yeah, you can button out.
26:30Yeah, I don't know. Something about this is just not quite hitting for me.
26:33I think maybe it's, like, the way it's been sort of artificially distressed.
26:38I think it's been washed and treated in a way
26:40that the whole thing is meant to look distressed,
26:42whereas, like, if you were to get a cool old waxed cotton jacket,
26:46you can tell that something's been worn by a real person over time
26:51because it's only worn in certain areas.
26:53Whatever wear and tear is on it, like, looks a little more natural
26:57and less, like, you know, uniform.
26:59If I were to take one thing home with me today,
27:02I would actually probably pick this suit.
27:04You know, of course, it'd have to be in an ideal world where this suit fit me.
27:08I think it's definitely way too small for me,
27:10but it's the kind of thing that I go vintage shopping and thrifting to look for.
27:13It's, like, big, crazy swings, you know, that maybe cost a little less,
27:18so I feel a little more confident in trying to take that risk.
27:21And, you know, a great retro suit like this with the big, bold lapels
27:26and the big, bold plaid is definitely a risk worth taking.
