00:00 How long has it been here?
00:02 About 70 years.
00:04 First one.
00:06 July is independent retail month and we've been speaking to some of the business owners at Jackie White's market in Sunderland.
00:13 Seeing people every day. You could probably serve more to them without them even asking.
00:19 There's not many fresh fish shops about now.
00:22 They do have a shop at the quay where it gets landed on a morning and sort of prepared down there and then brought up here.
00:31 There's not a lot of people, younger people, come in the market.
00:34 I think they could do with a bit more advertising for it to make them aware because half the people don't even know it's here, do they?
00:41 They'll come in and they'll go, "Yeah, I've lived here so and so and I didn't even know it was here."
00:46 Unless you're looking for it, it's not like it doesn't stand out from the rest of the bridges, I wouldn't say.
00:52 The younger ones, they do sort of all the shopping online or in one supermarket and get where any and get all your fresh stuff daily if you just came in and give it a try.
