00:00I've been in Shrewsbury 47 years. I was born into the market. My father had a market stall
00:08in Chester market so I was there over 30 years and then I opened a homemade cake stall here
00:16and I started with that. Also started up with cards as well and it went on from there. We
00:24had toys, we had everything. I had a cheese stall, I had pick and mix stall, flowers. All the time
00:32I'd got my cards. Anyway my cakes went into cake decorations so then I opened, I did a cake
00:41decoration stall. Then they wanted a shop so I took it out to the Darwin Centre, Riverside,
00:49then came back in here with it. But all the time I was still here with my card stall. Pete looked
00:56after that for me, my husband. I sold the cake decoration stall about five years ago I think,
01:07but sadly it closed down. We've carried on the cards ever since. A lot, a lot. Because we were
01:14a pannier stall in those days. When we were a pannier stall we had to be here for half past
01:19six in the morning, take everything upstairs into a storeroom. About six trucks we had,
01:26brought them all down, put them away at night and we never left till about six at night. So yeah,
01:34a lot of big changes. Adele's been, she's been with me all the time. She's looked after the cake
01:40stall, all the cards. You've been with me all the time and then about five years ago she took
01:46on the hat and bag stall. So yeah, we're true market traders and I can't somehow retire.
