Rien de mieux que de se réveiller en douceur en réalisant quelques postures de Yoga, à la lumière du jour. By Meli, prof de danse et coach souplesse passionnée de Yoga, nous explique pourquoi.

00:04 I love to practice yoga in the morning.
00:15 It allows me to wake up well, it allows me to calm my body and my mind
00:20 and also to feel more focused throughout the day and to have a great day.
00:25 Yoga and fitness have become a real passion for me since the COVID-19 period.
00:36 Because I didn't have access to the dance room, I needed a way to move, a way to relax.
00:41 And when I discovered it on YouTube, I went all out.
00:45 I bought a brand new mat and every day I did my fitness, abdo, muscle strengthening, stretching and yoga to relax.
00:53 And then I decided to do the same and create my own videos because I was addicted.
00:58 I started creating my own fitness and stretching videos and at the same time I was giving online classes to my students
01:11 that I couldn't see anymore because we were stuck at home.
01:13 And I realized that their parents joined them to follow the classes and they loved to spend this moment with their families,
01:19 this moment of relaxation, this sporting moment.
01:23 And I also realized that there were a lot of people who didn't feel good at work and in their bodies.
01:29 They felt anxious, they felt depressed and I said to myself, I absolutely need to help them.
01:35 Because I understand them, I've been through this too.
01:37 Before I could live from my passion, I did a master's in finance and I worked for two years in a bank.
01:42 And I can tell you that it wasn't the best time of my life.
01:45 And so fitness, yoga, all that really helped me to be better in my body.
01:49 And I said to myself, I have to do the same.
01:51 And it was at that moment that I said to myself, social media is the solution.
01:54 That's how I can reach the most people.
01:56 And today, with 120,000 subscribers, I receive a lot of messages from people who thank me, who feel better.
02:02 It really allows them to escape, to feel more at ease, to have a sporting routine, a well-being routine that does them good on a daily basis.

02:20 Having a good light in your living room, the light of the day is super important.
02:24 Because in the morning, that's what motivates us, it makes us happy, it puts us in a good mood.
02:28 And it's true that if you're in a good mood, you can only be more efficient to do your exercises.
02:32 And so it's really ideal to do your sport in the light of day.

02:40 In the morning, I love to do the sun salutation.
02:43 Because it's a set of postures, it's a sequence of postures that will allow me to work the whole body, from the head to the feet.
02:49 It soothes me, it makes me happy.
02:51 And it's also great for the functioning of the intestines and for digestion.
02:55 And it really allows me to work my vigilance.
02:58 I feel much more concentrated throughout the day.

03:06 Exposing yourself to the light of day in the morning, it actually stimulates your vigilance.
03:10 Because in the morning, when you wake up, you secrete a hormone called cortisol.
03:14 And cortisol is this hormone that will influence your well-being, your mood.
03:19 And so if you expose yourself in the morning to the light, well, your rate will increase and it will influence your well-being.
03:24 And what's even better is that when you do your little yoga session, you put on a soft music or a music that you like, that you like.
03:30 And there, it's the best.
03:32 I assure you, it's worth it in the morning to do your little yoga session, to do your postures.
03:37 Even if at the beginning the awakening will be difficult, you will see that after a few days, you will not be able to spend time so much, you will feel relaxed and revitalized.
