Could it be an SUV Alternative? New Mercedes E-Class Estate Class 2024
2024 Mercedes E-Class Estate Introduced As A Class SUV Alternative.
It has three screens like a sedan, a selfie camera, and yes, TikTok and Angry Birds.
Not every buyer wants an SUV, and Mercedes knows that. Not only has it given the latest C-Class a estate version, it's also keeping the long-roofed E-Class alive for at least another generation.
The largest of the three Mercedes wagons is even larger than its predecessor to offer a fantastically spacious interior. Code-named S214, the wheelbase is extended by 22 millimeters (0.86 inches) to 2961 mm (116.57 inches) for more legroom, while its width is increased by 28 mm (1.1 inches) to 1880 mm for more elbow room. (74 inches). Length increased by 4 mm (0.15 inches) to 4949 mm (194.84 inches) and height increased by 1 mm (0.04 inches) to 1469 mm (57.83 inches).
Numbers aside, the new E-Class Estate is a handsome wagon that has every reason to ruin the GLE's sales. As expected, it closely follows the W214 E-Class Sedan unveiled at the end of April and looks less controversial than the upcoming BMW 5 Series Touring. The hull is sleeker than before, as the drag coefficient has dropped from 0.27 to 0.26. You can get wheels as big as 21 inches, but the base model has a 17-inch set.
Available with standard rear air suspension or optional two-axle Airmatic, the E-Class Estate promises to be a luxurious and comfortable family car with all the beauties of the sedan. Yes, it can be achieved with three screens, a selfie camera and TikTok integration. Also included is Zoom for conferences using Angry Birds and the same front-mounted internal video camera.
In Europe, Mercedes will initially sell the luxury wagon as an E200 and E220d, along with the E300e plug-in hybrid. The petrol model uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that's good for 204 horsepower (150 kilowatts) and 320 Newton-meters (236 pound-feet) of torque. The four cup mill is the mild hybrid variant, meaning it is powered by an electric motor that delivers an extra 23 hp (17 kW) and 205 Nm (151 lb-ft). This combination is good for accelerating from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 7.8 seconds and a top speed of 231 km/h (144 mph).
Speaking of upcoming releases, spy shots have revealed that another upgraded All-Terrain is planned. It's already listed in a leaked EPA document of 2024MY cars, so it's coming to the United States if Mercedes doesn't want to keep the old model for another year.
Meanwhile, the regular Mercedes E-Class Estate will go on sale in Europe this fall.
