Launched with Technology-packed Triple Screens, New Mercedes-Benz E Class L (300 L) 2024
Recently, the real car of the new Mercedes-Benz E standard axle version was launched in Hong Kong. This is also the first appearance of the new generation Mercedes-Benz E in China. Its price is HK$617,000-636,000.
The new car is divided into two appearances: Libiao luxury version and Dabao sports version. This time, the Dabao sports version is exhibited. The headlights of this generation of the new Mercedes-Benz E feature the classic "peanut light" elements used in other Mercedes-Benz models. The headlights are in LED form and digital laser headlights are also optional.
Viewed from the side, it appears that the new Mercedes-Benz E (W214) generation bids farewell to the smooth proportions of the previous generation Mercedes-Benz E models. It adopts a double-section waistline, and the overall light and shadow effect becomes more youthful and sporty. The length, width and height of the new Mercedes-Benz E standard axle version are 4949x1880x1468mm, respectively, and the wheelbase is 2961mm. Another major change in appearance is the use of hidden door handles, which helps reduce the wind resistance coefficient, which is only 0.23cd.
In terms of interior, the new Mercedes-Benz E no longer goes the retro route. This show car is equipped with the MBUX Superscreen triple screen design. There is also a more traditional form of central control in the form of two large screens. The new Mercedes-Benz E is equipped with the third-generation MBUX human-computer interaction system, which supports more in-car applications. It also includes dashcams that allow vehicle members to participate in online video conferences anytime and anywhere.
Ambient lighting has always been a technology that Mercedes-Benz is good at creating. The new generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class introduced the scene-based ambient lighting function. For example, when the temperature drops below 16 degrees, the seat heating will automatically turn on and the color of the ambient light will change to a warm color.
In terms of power, the new Mercedes-Benz E standard axle version is equipped with a 2.0T+48V mild hybrid system. It still mates with the 9G-Tronic transmission. Options have always been Mercedes-Benz's way of widening the gap between higher-end and lower-end models. The new Mercedes-Benz E is equipped with an optional ADS+ adjustable advanced shock absorption system and air suspension. In combination with the rear-wheel active steering system, the turning radius of the new E-Class 4 Motion version can be reduced to 5.5 meters, making the direction more flexible when maneuvering at low speeds.
