00:00 Hey guys, so today I thought I'd film an everyday sort of like beginner makeup tutorial look
00:06 and that's why I have no makeup on so sorry about this face in a minute, it's not in, yeah.
00:14 But yeah, anyone who's starting out in makeup this might be a bit helpful, just a basic beginner look,
00:21 nothing too hard and all the products I will either say the name of and link it down below if I remember
00:28 but you can ask me in the comments so like, comment and subscribe if you enjoy this video and I love you, bye!
00:34 So first up I would say to moisturise your face, especially if you're beginning moisturiser is quite a big thing
00:42 so I'm using the simple kind of skin moisturiser, this is just the travel size version so it's kind of hard to get out
00:50 but rub it into your hands and I don't, I skip over my nose because it tends to get like, your face on your nose
01:00 it tends to get oily anyway so I just focus on my cheeks and forehead so that your makeup will apply nicer
01:09 and then just wave about before I dry your face off and stuff.
01:13 Next I'm using the really worn out lasting perfection concealer in the Taylor shade, number one fair
01:21 and I'm not really the biggest fan of this concealer and if you're beginning out it's probably a bit too heavy for you
01:27 but you'll find the concealer that works for you, just try them all out, I also use the Revlon colours there
01:35 but I have, as you can see, there's not left in there so this one's going to have to do for this time.
01:40 And I'm going to look this way for a minute just because I'm looking into the front screen camera
01:46 so I can see what I'm doing but sorry about that.
01:50 Apply it under your eyes, I use dots, you can use triangles, whatever and I apply it around my nose
02:00 mostly because that tends to be a problem area and to any other spots and imperfections and blemishes you want to cover.
02:10 I'm using quite a bit because my skin's a bit awful at the minute, especially here and there.
02:20 And then you can take a blending brush to blend it out if you want to but I'm just going to use my forefinger
02:34 especially under my eyes, just tap it in to get as much cover as you can.
02:46 And I'll just blend away all of that concealer into my skin.
02:51 You've got to be very gentle under your eyes because it's a delicate area and you don't want to get wrinkles and creases under your eyes
03:03 especially if you're beginning, it's just like a tip for everybody out there.
03:08 And you can reapply concealer to any places that you think need a bit more if you want.
03:13 I'm going to go in and do this blemish here again because it's a bit stubborn.
03:21 So dab it on and tap it in and around the outside.
03:31 And blend.
03:38 So now the concealer's done and I'm going to skip foundation because I'm not a fan of it.
03:53 And beginners, you don't need foundation to start off with, especially if you've never worn makeup then your skin's probably pretty good.
03:58 If you do want foundation then you can put it on now but I'm just going to go in with a powder.
04:03 So I'm using this powder next up and this is the True Match Powder by L'Oreal and it's my favourite powder.
04:10 And I use the little poof that comes with it and I just tap that on.
04:20 So that's your base and next up I'm going to apply a lip balm just to moisturise those lips of yours
04:32 so that when you go to put any lipsticks on, if you want to put lipsticks on, they're not chapped.
04:42 I'm going to go in with eyeshadow. I'm currently loving my Revolution Iconic 2 palette from Superdrug.
04:50 It's their own new brand and this is a dupe to the Mac Naked 2 palette and the eyeshadows are so good and they're really similar.
04:58 There's a couple differences, obviously they can't get it perfect but it is a really nice palette except that it doesn't have a mirror which I don't quite like.
05:06 But as it's only £4, you can't really complain too much about this one.
05:12 I have these brushes from No. 7 and I've had them for a while now and these are the only brushes that I own because I prefer my fingers when I apply my makeup.
05:19 But I have the eyebrow comb, the small eyeshadow brush, the large flat eyeshadow brush and the powder or blush brush.
05:32 So for this look I'm going to take the larger eyeshadow brush with this colour here, the palest colour in the palette and I'm going to apply that all over my lid.
05:48 I'm going to pack the colour on as a base and then, yeah.
06:00 [Music]
06:28 Next up I'm going to go just a little bit of smokiness in the crease. I'm going to use the smaller brush and this colour, the fifth colour in the palette here.
06:40 This one to do my crease eyeshadow.
06:45 So I'm just going to grab a little bit on that brush, tap the excess off and apply that in the crease with a small brush to start off and then you can blend it out after.
06:57 [Music]
07:16 So for the crease you just want to find the crease you are and apply it there and in a little triangle in the outside there like a windshield-like motion.
07:26 And now I'm going to grab my big eyeshadow brush again and just get the excess off on my hand and go back in with that colour on there and blend it out.
07:40 [Music]
07:58 And then I'm going back in with my small little brush here and with this third colour in the palette which is a shimmery white colour.
08:06 And I'm going to apply that to my brow bone just to give it a bit of a lift there.
08:14 This will just help brighten up the whole eye area and highlight your brows even if you haven't filled them in.
08:22 Because for beginners I don't really need to see the need in you filling your eyebrows in. You're just starting out.
08:29 And then you can also apply a little bit to the inner corner if you want an extra highlight there too.
08:36 [Music]
08:48 And as you see that just makes your eyes a lot brighter and a lot wider too.
08:51 So next up I'm going to use my Studio Blush palette and you can skip this if you don't want to put blush on your skin or anything.
08:58 If you think it will break you out or something. But I'm going to use blush just to give my face a bit of colour because I'm not contouring or anything.
09:06 As this is for beginners as I've said before already.
09:08 And yeah, I'm going to use the matte darker pink shade in this because I think the pink was a bit too pink and shimmery for this.
09:17 So you just add a tiny bit on there and I apply it behind to my cheekbones kind of.
09:24 And then blend down.
09:27 [Music]
09:48 To apply your blush all you do is smile and your apples of your cheeks and eyes blind from there down.
09:54 So you don't get too harsh of a circle around your cheeks.
09:57 Finally I'm going to go in with my eyelash curler and my mascara.
10:02 I just use this eyelash curler from Primark because it is for beginners and this is only a pound.
10:07 So if you're a beginner you're not going to go spending loads of money on your makeup yet.
10:10 So just get this and curl those lashes.
10:14 So to curl your eyelashes without clamping your skin.
10:17 You just take your finger and pull your eye up.
10:23 Make sure you do this in a mirror if you're a beginner.
10:26 And press down a few times.
10:29 [Music]
10:40 And there you go, that's the curl.
10:44 Finally I'm going to go in with my mascara.
10:47 This I wouldn't recommend for a beginner to use because it is quite high volume and quite noticeable.
10:55 And if you're beginning out you probably don't want too much mascara on.
10:59 So I'm just going to use this because it's the only one I've got right now.
11:02 But I would recommend something from maybe like number 7 which is Boots Own Brand.
11:06 And if you can't get that I would do maybe the Maybelline Rocket instead of this.
11:10 Which is the Falsies Volume Express Mascara.
11:14 [Music]
11:43 [Music]
11:57 And if you mess up as I just did, you can grab a q-tip.
12:01 I'm just going to use my finger and wipe that away.
12:05 Because we don't want that staining and ruining our makeup look.
12:08 So yeah, apply to your bottom lashes as well.
12:13 [Music]
12:33 There we go, that's the makeup look.
12:35 And I think this is just really pretty and natural for beginners.
12:38 Or if you just want an everyday makeup look this would work too.
12:41 You could now add a lip colour if you wanted to.
12:44 But I'm not going to.
12:46 You could just add a nude gloss.
12:48 Wrong way, that's a studio one.
12:51 Just if you wanted something on your lips.
12:53 But I'm just going to stick with a lip balm because it's just going to be really natural.
12:57 I just think it looks pretty like this.
12:58 So this is the makeup look.
13:00 [Music]
