Climb to the crash site

The first team of responders approaches the crash site of the RP-2080 Cessna plane near the Mayon Volcano in Albay at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2023. The team is composed of six rescuers from the Bureau of Fire Protection - Special Rescue Force (BFP-SRF), nine mixed mountaineers, eight from the Energy Development Corporation (EDC), three from the Wilderness Search and Rescue (WSAR) Philippines, and two local guides.
