Eroica (2003) (Part 1)

Part 1 of the TV drama Eroica from 2003, about a day in 1804 during the backdrop of the rise of Napolean Bonaparte, when Ludwig van Beethoven performed his 3rd symphony - Eroica - at a Palace at one of his patrons to a private audience. Concerning itself more with the many little dramas in the private lives of the people there, from musicians worried about the threat of war, to the patron Prince recovering from war wounds, to a young servant's interest in the lady's maid (Victoria Shalet), as well as Beethoven himself anxiously awaiting the answer to a marriage proposal. Stars Ian Hart, Jack Davenport, Tim Piggott Smith, Fenella Woolgar, Claire Skinner, Robert Glenister, Anton Lesser, Leo Bill, Lucy Akhurst, Frank Finlay and Victoria Shalet.
