Eroica (2003) (Part 2)

Part 2 of the TV drama Eroica, set during a day in 1804 during the backdrop of the rise of Napolean Bonaparte, when Ludwig van Beethoven's 3rd symphony was performed to a select audience at the Palace of one of his patrons. It mainly concerns itself with the many mini dramas involving the people there, from the musicians worried about the threat of war, to the patron Prince recovering from war wounds, to the servant with designs upon the lady's maid, and Beethoven himself anxiously awaiting the answer to a marriage proposal. It stars Ian Hart, Claire Skinner, Jack Davenport, Fenella Woolgar, Tim Piggott Smith, Anton Lesser, Leo Bill, Lucy Akhurst, Robert Glenister, Frank Finlay and Victoria Shalet among the cast.
