Xbox 360 overheating - replacement?

Alright, this is about overheating on the Xbox 360. I'm not sure why Microsoft would release a console that's full of errors like the red ring of death error, overheating issues, etc among others. That means we're forced to buy a guide off of the internet.
Some of these guides are good, some of them not. I tried the 360lightfix guide and it worked for me on multiple Xbox 360s. Until Microsoft finally fixes these errors, we'll have to resort to using a repair guide to fix it ourselves.
It's a pain, but we don't have that much of a choice.
