Business as usual on Palm Sunday

endors seeking to earn extra cash, sell palaspas or palm fronds from coconut trees along Roxas Boulevard to people in front of the National Shrine of our Mother of Perpetual Help also known as The Redemptorist, Baclaran Church on Palm Sunday, April 5. Vendors sold the palm fronds for P50 each, higher than last year's P20. Most of the Catholic faithful chose to observe the start of the Holy Week inside their homes in compliance with a government-imposed quarantine because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
