The Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) wants the Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry to amend or revoke one part of the Tourism Industry Act 1992, as the terms are deemed "problematic".
MATTA president Datuk Tan Kok Liang said the Fourth Schedule of the Act is outdated and has caused issues in mass cancellations of tourist packages following the Covid-19 outbreak.
