Zelie Martin's lace

During a costumed evening visiting the family possessions of the Martin & Guerin families, Zelie Martin explains her lacemaking business for the point d'Alencon. Uncle Isidore holds up a small square of paper and says it took 60 hours of labor and 9 lacemakers to produce a piece of lace the size of that square. Zelie assembled the pieces of lace into the finished product. This was filmed in Lisieux on Oct. 16, 2008
