Visit to St. Therese's Uncle Guerin

St. Therese's uncle Isidore Guerin describes the Guerin dining room where he has the Maudelonde cousins seated in his chair and Aunt Celine Guerin's chair. He speaks of little Therese's visits to him where he held her on his knee and told stories of Bluebeard that terrified her. He also mentions and points to an 1894 painting by Celine Martin(not visible in video)of St. John of the Cross, the year she entered Carmel. He explains that Celine painted a lot before and after entering Carmel and that the Carmel of Lisieux has 80 of her paintings. The video was filmed during the costumed evening visit to the St Jacques exhibit hall on Oct. 16, 2008.
