Ingredients:
3/4 cup Wheat Flour
3 tbsp Gram Flour
1 tbsp Ajwain
1/4 tsp Red Chilli powder
1/4 tsp Asafoetida
1/4 ts Coriander & Cumin seed powder
1/8 tsp Turmeric powder
Salt to taste
1 tsp Oil
Water as required
3 cups Water
1/2 tbsp Ghee
1/2 cup Green Moong Dal, soaked
1/4 cup Chana Dal, soaked
1/4 cup Tur Dal, soaked
1/2 tsp Red Chilli powder
1 tsp Coriander Cumin seed powder
1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
1/2 tsp Garam Masala
1 ½ tbsp Tamarind Juice
For Tadka
1 tbsp Ghee
1 Cinnamon stick
2 Cloves
1 tsp Ajwain
1 tsp Cumin seeds
1 tsp Mustard seeds
1/4 tsp Asafoetida
Method of preparation:
In a bowl containing wheat flour, add gram flour, ajwain, red chilli powder, asafoetida, coriander & cumin seed powder, turmeric powder, salt, oil, give it a mix, add water and knead it into a dough.
Apply some oil to the dough and let it rest.
Heat water in a vessel, bring it to a boil,
Make a long roll of the dough, and cut it into small pieces.
Take a steel bowl, apply oil on the bowl and board.
Slightly press the dough pieces into a flat round with the help of a bowl.
Into the boiling water, add ghee, salt, dhokli's, add moong dal, chana dal, tur dal, give it a try and add dry spices and give it a good mix.
Cover it with a lid and cook it for 3 whistles on low flame.
Add tamarind juice, give it a stir and add the tadka.
For Tadka
Heat ghee in a vessel, add whole spices, turn off the flame and add asafoetida.
