Wayward Suns Emerged in 2015 as a three piece band made up of Brad Kennedy (lead vocalist and groove instigating rhythm guitar), Kane 'instincts' Fogarty (mind bending rhymes and hip hop flavored beats) and Jesse Lopez (Lead melody guitarist and back-up vocals. Playing shows all around South east Queensland we blasted from venue to venue, always adapting, always improving, writing songs and spreading the 'wayward' vibe all around our hometown of the Gold Coast.
They did not truly find our sound however, till the recent, but most excellent inclusion of two members to the lineup. Peter Korzuch came along and added much needed low end to the band, his smooth but funked out bass lines were a welcome addition. And last but certainly not least, drummer, Sunil 'sunny' Noronha was added to the Wayward Suns. Sunny's jazzy, syncopated, foot tapping beats completed the sound.
After doing many successful shows together and getting nothing but positive feedback, it was time to get in the studio and start making an album. After about 5 months of hard (but fun) work from all members, the debut album called 'Paradigm' will be the crowning achievement of The Wayward Suns thus far.
All band members are over the moon with the result and were excited to unleash it to the world at the Airlie Beach Festival of Music, which they did getting the nod over 13 other cities to take out the top prize.
