Fresh from recording their sophomore album Mustered Courage are ready to bring their rocking bluegrass it all live again in Melbourne and can't wait to preview their brand new tracks to their fans.
The new record has been produced by Jimi Maroudas (Kimbra, Eskimo Joe, Little Birdy & Bertie Blackman), at Headgap & Aviary studios in Melbourne during the month of October 2012. The new album is littered with lush three part harmonies high speed banjo, flat picking guitar, blistering mandolin solos and a focus on high quality song writing with a modern and alternative bluegrass flavour. Maroudas has taken the band's sound to a whole new level that will make even the most earnest Triple J listener sit up and listen.
2012 was a massive year for the band gaining radio play all over the country, gaining countless favourable reviews for their debut record and winning the Music Oz 2012 country category against hundreds of talented Australian artists.
The band have had a stellar year on the national touring circuit playing a string of major folk festivals such as the Gympie Music Muster, Tamworth (winners of Rural Press band comp) Redlands, Dorrigo, Maldon Folk and Wintermoon, Mustered Courage are honoured to announce seeing the new year in at the prestigious Woodford Folk Festival.
2013 is already shaping up well with the band returning to Tamworth with a plethora of shows and festival line ups to be announced early in the new year.
Mustered Courage are Nick Keeling (Vocals and Banjo), Julian Abrahams (Vocals and Guitar), Josh Bridges (Vocals and Bass) and Paddy Montgomery (Vocals and Mandolin).
