According to a new Gallup poll, Americans are, as of late, more approving of Donald Trump; however, his favorability numbers remain the lowest in recent history, reports CBS News.
Of the roughly 1,000 adults surveyed between November 9 and 13, 42% view the president-elect favorably.
That is an impressive increase from Trump’s previous 34% rating, but it still lands him behind the presidents-elect of years past.
While transitioning into office, Barack Obama’s favorability was at 68%.
George W. Bush and Bill Clinton garnered 59% and 58%, respectively, in the months preceding their inaugurations.
Respondents to the recent Gallup poll were a bit more enthusiastic on the topic of Trump’s leadership abilities.
51% said they are now “more confident” in his presidential potential than they once were.
