Night and Day – Carlings 1990
It was written for the 1932 musical play Gay Divorce, and is perhaps Cole Porter's most popular contribution to the Great American Songbook.
The young Carling family from Goteborg Sweden have taken it up in their repertoire as well. Some unbelievable superb and mature solo work by Gerd(19) on trombone, then a very musical vocal by Gunhild (15 ) followed by Max(21) on clarinet and a final swinging outchorus with Gunhild playing the lead trumpet in a way few other trumpetplayers can match, maybe the drummer is a bit overbearing, but he is learning fast, does all the right accentuations and....... he is only 11.
