Argentina: IDB to Provide US$5 Billion in Credits

The Inter-American Development Bank (ID) has announced that it will provide Argentina with US$5 billion in credit over the coming years. This comes just one week after the business friendly government of right-wing Mauricio Macri took office. The country has been locked out of the global bond market since the 2002 default. On Thursday the Argentine peso plunged more than 26.5% after the new government floated the currency as part of free market reforms. teleSUR
