Argentina Lifts Currency Controls

Newly elected right-wing Argentine President Mauricio Macri continued his drive to enact neoliberal economic reforms. Yesterday, Macri announced that currency controls would be lifted, with which the peso's value will be determined by the international foreign exchange market.
