Interviews from Washington - The Black Lives Matter Movement

Today our host Jorge Gestoso speaks with African-American activist Kymone Freeman about the uprising that began in Ferguson, Missouri against racist police violence and has given rise to the Black Lives Matter movement. The most important task of the movement now is to find an agenda, which he believes must include community control of the police and the exposure of notorious profiteers off of private prisons, which are the new slavery. Will the movement gain momentum? No doubt about it, says Freeman. The police themselves will fuel it every time they shoot down an unarmed Black person. teleSUR
