Lives – The National Children’s Orchestra of Venezuela

A window on the Latin American continent, as seen through the eyes of people, either well known or ordinary individuals, who give the viewer an insight into the essence of the region. Today we meet the National Children’s Orchestra, a key part of Venezuela’s Network of Orchestras, created by Jose Antonio Abreu 40 years ago. The 200 children who may rehearse as many as 12 or 13 hours a day, are getting to know children in other regional orchestras as they prepare for their international debut of Tchaikovsky’s Fourth in Milan. teleSUR
