Colombia: FARC rebels and Government Reach Agreement

FARC guerrillas and the Colombian government have reached what some have called a historic agreement. For the first time since the peace talks began in 2012, the government has agreed to a major de-escalation of the conflict. The agreement comes just after the FARC’s announcement of a one month unilateral ceasefire to begin on July 20. President Juan Manuel Santos said that the agreement will be re-evaluated four months from now. teleSUR
