Exploring Lake Tōya in Hokkaido!

A few days ago, I went on a small holiday with my wife to Hokkaido. We set out to our final destination on Lake Tōya (洞爺湖). Lake Tōya is a volcanic caldera lake in Shikotsu-Toya National Park, Abuta District, Hokkaidō, Japan. Lake Tōya was called Kim'un-to (キムウン (kim'un) means "in the mountain"and ト (to) means "lake") by the Ainu.
We stayed at a hotel in small town of Toyako. From here we visited the Sōbetsu town (壮瞥町) and then headed for Shōwa-shinzan (昭和新山). Shōwa-shinzan is a volcanic lava dome in the Shikotsu-Toya National Park, Hokkaidō, Japan, next to Mount Usu. Nearby is the Ainu (アイヌ) museum, it's actually a large straw hut with some of the tools and artefacts of the Ainu.
