Komachi Odori at Yasaka Shrine during Gion Matsuri, 2105.

When the Hanagasa Junkō Parade (花笠巡行) returns to the Yasaka shrine different performances and dances are held. This part of the Gion Matsuri is called Gion Matsuri Gosai (祇園祭後祭). These beautiful ladies are the maiko and geiko of Gion Higashi Hanamachi (祇園東) performing a “Komachi odori (祇園東)” dance.
