Guyana: Voting Tight as Final Results Awaited

The results of Monday's elections in the northern South American nation of Guyana are very tight as the country awaits the final tally. Partial preliminary results based on 80% of the returns have already been released and they give the five-party opposition coalition a mere 43 vote lead. The governing party accuses the opposition of promoting instability by declaring itself the winner and has called for a recount. teleSUR
