Media Review - Vice magazine

This week's edition of Media Review takes an in-depth look at Vice magazine. With coverage of sex scandals and hipster culture it is titillating, dicey and racy. But Vice magazine also offers investigative journalism and occasionally radical voices as well. Founded as a Montreal community newspaper with government support, it has mushroomed into a global media conglomerate, with 12 global editions and a circulation of 900,000. Critics say, however, that beneath the veneer of being subversive and satirical, it is merely sensationalist and pushes "hipster racism". teleSUR
