00:00A democracy of a more democratic society, but in society, in the current society, in
00:17the historical era that we are living, we are living in a new era.
00:22I have said it on January 15, 2022, in which humanity enters into a new era, into a transition
00:33towards savage capitalism, towards barbarism, towards the power of a group of economic elites
00:47of millionaires who dominate the world, or the transition towards a more human and democratic
00:54society.
00:55In Venezuela, we call it socialism, and so we are entering a new era of transition to
01:02socialism.
01:03And in that direction, we are going to lead everything that is regarding dialogue, understanding.
01:12I have learned about dialogue, debate.
01:17My school is debate, negotiation, diplomacy.
01:22After I have learned it on the popular movement, once Commander Chavez appointed me as a foreign
01:31minister.
01:32So then I have learned the power of word.
01:36I am a man of word, and I am committed to a whole country to deepen all dialogue mechanisms,
01:45consensus, and inclusion.
01:46Good morning, President.
01:49You were talking about that this July 29th, you see it as a peace, in the case you lose
01:57elections.
01:58Our citizens are the ones who elect.
02:02What would happen on July 29th, and what would happen afterwards?
02:09How old are you, 29?
02:12What year were you born?
02:151999.
02:161995.
02:17There, I have met Cecilia.
02:21You are from Global Vision.
02:24Well, Venezuela came from an era, from a tortured and violent decade, era.
02:34Our generation was witnessed of a massive massacre, and there was no international organization
02:42or any organization that would say anything.
02:48In 1989, I was 27 years, and I know what our towns, our people suffered.
03:00We came from a torturous and violent era, and so the revolution brought peace, brought
03:07the constitution, the peaceful constitution, the pact of the future.
03:13So I have said to the people something true, and I tell you, we are the guarantee of peace
03:21in this country, the tranquility and stability.
03:23In this historical moment, on July 28th, 2024, we are the guarantee of peace, and I could
03:31say something more.
03:34The only way of peace, to continue building up in the future, to see a more democratic
03:45country.
03:46President, you have denounced that the opposition won't recognize the results, and saying these
03:55elections be shunned, and there are two candidates who didn't sign the agreement of recognizing
04:02the results.
04:03And so what would be the message to those Venezuelans who didn't vote, well, I called,
04:14I urged the people to go to the polls, all polling stations are open, and this is the
04:2231st electoral process, Venezuela has a world record of elections, because we have the electoral
04:32system more reliable, safe, we have an electoral power that is very experienced, with professional
04:45personnel trained, and besides, it is protected by the Venezuelan forces, and so we have here,
04:56just to participate in elections, respect the electoral arbitration, and no one can
05:05stain this day of peace, this day of electoral party, no one could dare to stain this process,
05:16no one dared to stain this electoral process, respect to the people, respect to the elections,
05:25and respect to the electoral council, and so, the electoral commission, so it is now
05:34time to go to the ballots, to cast their votes, and respect the official results, so in any
05:45country, the official results, the electoral results are coming from the polls, but only
05:56the ones in charge of giving the results, I am sure that everything will be okay, and
06:02tomorrow will be a pretty day, thank you very much.
06:09Do you recognize the results in case you lose? Well, I think you didn't listen to me, I think you didn't listen to me, I am Nicolás Maduro Modo, President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, and I recognize the electoral arbitration, and I am going to defend it, I am going to defend the
06:38revolution with my life, and so, the results will be respected, and I will defend the results,
06:49take that for granted, everything will be okay, thank you very much.
06:53So, these were the statements of Venezuela's President Nicolás Maduro, after having casted
07:08his vote, and has reaffirmed that they are the only option of peace for the country,
07:18and has urged the people to go to the polls, and has reaffirmed the defense of democracy,
07:25and has said that Venezuela has a solid electoral system.
