Spain: Minister of Justice resigns over withdrawal of abortion bill

Spanish Minister of Justice Alberto Ruiz Gallardon announced his resignation after the withdrawal of his bill to toughen the Abortion Law. His resignation represents a challenge to the legislative policies of Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy who withdrew the bill arguing the lack of a social consensus in favor of the measure. This bill allowed abortion only in cases of rape or if the pregnancy puts the mother's health at risk. TeleSUR.
