Alu Wadi is a traditional Maharashtrian recipe that makes prominent use of colocasia or taro leaves. It is commonly had as a tea time snack or as an accompaniment to a full meal. Watch the video for Archana's recipe.

Ingredients:

6-7 alu leaves (colocasia or taro leaves)
Thick coconut milk
1 bowl gram flour
1 onion finely chopped
1 tbsp gur (jaggery)
1 tbsp garlic finely chopped
Coriander leaves
3 tbsp tamarind water
1 tbsp mix masala
½ tsp haldi (turmeric) powder
¼ tsp hing (asafoetida)
Salt
Water
Oil
