Soft Tofu & Seafood Stew and Tofu Casserole
Tofu, which is made with beans, originated in China and was introduced in Korea many centuries ago. Since then, it has been one of the favorite dishes among Koreans. As a valuable source of protein that can even replace meat, tofu is low-calorie but packed with all kinds of nutrients, hence its nickname "beef growing in a field."

Soft tofu, or sundubu, is uncurdled tofu. It is softer than regular tofu and easy to digest. Soft tofu is often enjoyed as a spicy stew called "sundubu jjigae," which is cooked with refreshing seafood.

Tofu casserole, or "dubu jeongol," was served to kings in ancient times. It is made with diverse ingredients all cooked together. This dish represents the Korean custom of sharing food and having meals with a group of people sitting in a circle. Join us to learn how to make these two affordable and healthy dishes.
