Since leaving the White House, Bill Clinton has earned $104.9 million just for speeches that he has given around the world.

Hillary Clinton recently revealed that the Clintons were under debt during their time in the White House and much of their wealth was accumulated after leaving the White House.

The Washington Post, in a June 26th article, provided some insight into the staggering amount Bill Clinton has earned through his speaking engagements post-presidency.

Between January 2001 and January 2013 Clinton delivered 542 speeches and earned $104.9 million. A little over half of those appearances were in America. The rest took place in foreign countries and that’s where the higher percentage of the cash came from.

His speaking income from locations like Japan, Canada, China and the UK earned the Clinton family over $56 million. Wall Street banks and numerous other financial institutions have also hired him. Those jobs landed Clinton more than $19 million.

Goldman Sachs paid him for 8 talks over several years that equated to a payout of $1.35 million.

Typically, he charged 100 to 200 grand per appearance but there were some in the $600,000 to $800,000 range as well.
