This video first appeared on the "Top Hat And Buttered Popcorn" program that aired bi-monthly on the Fairfax County (VA) cable television station, Channel 10. It was hosted by John Savers. This movie followed a couple of female murderers as they fought to escape a date with the hangman. Naturally, they were "done wrong" by cads. This story was a musical. There was plenty of Bob Fosse-style "bump and grind" dancing worked in. That helped to keep this money from being a "chick flick." There were lots of capable actors working in this film. The movie starred Renee Zellweger, Catherine Zeta Jones, Richard Gere, John C. Reilly, Lucy Liu, Queen Latifah, and Chit Rivera. Rob Marshall directed the movie. Danny Elfman handled musical chores. Dion Beebe handled cinematography. Colleen Atwood handled costuming. It's well-produced and directed. It was a good adult musical.
