A brave Irish grandmother helps to catch thieves.

It's not easy to stay calm when someone's breaking into your home but a 64-year-old grandmother in Ireland has been credited with tricking a group of thieves.

Ann Curtis’ grandchildren had noticed a vehicle drive into her yard. The elderly woman told the kids to lock themselves in the residence while she went outside to see what was going on.

The lady drove down the property and noticed the three men were loading their vehicle with tools and wheels. Curtis stated “I parked a bit away and asked them what they were doing. When they started giving me cheek, I reversed really fast, got out of the car and managed to get the iron entrance gate closed and padlocked.”

In an effort to calm the angry suspects down, the grandma told them she was returning to the house to grab the key which would allow them to get out, but instead she called police. The three alleged thieves were soon arrested.
