00:00My name is Stijmen Graat and my dream is to become a pro cyclist.
00:13I think this year's stage 6 suits me very well and I'm looking forward to it.
00:19I would like to win one or two stages and we'll see at the end of this year what the results are.
00:32As a rider I would describe myself more as a pure sprinter.
00:36I can maybe, if I'm in good shape, hold on to some longer climbs but definitely that's not my best ability but sprinting, yeah.
00:43I also like sprinting, I feel like the adrenaline, the sensation, the emotion that I feel there are unique so yeah, I really love sprinting.
00:55Definitely some experience from last year will give me some advantage and I also have a really strong team so yeah, I'm really looking forward to it.
01:04I mean, they call me Gorilla because when I started to win my first races last year, I always cheered like Andre Grijp so I'm pretty muscular so people started to call me like that and I think it's a cool nickname and I go by that.
01:26This picture gives some nice boost from last year with the team, with Johannes, we had a lot of fun there, a lot of fun.
01:56It's going to be honest, he's my first hero.
02:16With Nairo Quintana, he was the one who I got engaged with the sport back in 2013 in Tour de France and when he won the Giro, the Giro finished in my hometown in Trieste.
02:28I was there and I've seen him in all the pink jersey and all the bikes so for me it was a very huge, let's say, emotion and also like, you know, my mom is Colombian so I feel also part of that.
02:41I'm not a climber which back in the days I thought I would be but still I really feel like he and also like Gaviria and Bernal and all these guys are really, for me it's always nice seeing them doing well and winning so yeah, for me, when I see Quintana it's always for me, the heartbeat goes up by 10 beats per minute.
03:11I'm Alessandro Pinarello and I want to become a professional cyclist.
03:19I think the season so far has been pretty good and I'm pretty satisfied with the three places and the win and I hope to continue like this.
03:50My name is Matisse Fondel and my dream is to become a pro cyclist.
04:01The best stage for me will be the mountain stage of course, so stages 3, 6 and 7.
04:07My nickname Pinna derives from the abbreviation of my last name which is Pinarello and they added an N so either they call me Pinna, just Pinna dello Squalo to be clear or Pinna simply abbreviated.
04:37I feel ok, nothing crazy, just on the left side a bit the skin but everything is fine. I didn't lose time yesterday because of my teammates so everything goes well for the moment.
05:08In the photo you can see my teammate Giulio, Giulio Pelizzari. It's the stage of the Grappa.
05:14What does it represent? I have a good memory of that day because in the morning I was in training and I went to say hello to my teammates who were in the Belluno training area.
05:25Giulio asked me if I was going to say hello so I have a good memory of how Giulio was strong that day so I hope to do the same.
05:37What do you want to achieve tomorrow?
05:48Tomorrow of course I want to win and if I can take the jersey tomorrow will be a perfect day but we will see after two days the feeling but tomorrow will be a good one for the GC for sure.
06:07What do you want to do next year?
06:25Next year I want to do the Giro d'Italia as a professional and do it as best as I can for the stages of course.
06:37What do you want to be when you grow up?
06:44I'm Tim Thornton-Teutenberg and I want to become a professional cyclist.
06:47What is your biggest dream?
06:58The biggest event, the Olympics. It would be crazy to go there. I think everybody's dream is to do the Olympics one time.
07:06What is your name?
07:18Hello, my name is Paul Magnier and my dream is to be a pro cyclist.
07:22What are your goals for this race?
07:29My goal for this race is to win a stage for sure and also if I feel good why not take the Maglia Rosso at home.
07:39We are there with a very strong team for the spring so I hope we can expect some victories.
07:45How is your preparation for the Giro d'Italia?
07:59From last year I think I had a much better preparation to the race. Last year I had an injury before and this year I was fit and could train all the time.
08:09Normally my shape should be a bit better and also my numbers in the winter got much better.
08:14What is your dream race?
08:31I hope to be racing the Tour de France in many years. This is my dream race. I would like to win a stage on the Tour de France
08:39and also, if it's possible, become world champion. But I know there is a lot of work to do before.
08:45What is your name?
08:58It's my uncle and my family. I look up to them, what they did in their past and what they do now.
09:07I'm happy to see a picture of them.
09:12How did you start cycling?
09:26I decided to do a career in cycling when I had the opportunity. I started cycling quite late because I first started with a mountain bike.
09:37And then I started also a bit on the road. I had directly some good results and then when you have good results you can only like to win some races.
09:46And then I had some good contact with Sudal Quickstep and then everything goes really fast and now I'm very proud of what we did with the team.
09:54How was your season so far?
10:07I think it was quite good my season so far. I had some wins and a lot of good results and I'm really happy with it.
10:14How do you rate this year's race?
10:27I think it's a really hard race. I did this race this year. Unfortunately I crashed quite early on the race.
10:37Same with 80 km in the legs I was already full gas. But it was one of my best races because I raced with Julian Alaphilippe.
10:46I was his roommate and I had a very good weekend there.
10:49I for sure looked up to my family and all my family members. But when I was young my ideal was always Mark Cavendish.
10:58So that's the rider I always looked up to when I was young.
11:19How do you rate this year's race?
11:49I think it's a really hard race. I did this race this year. Unfortunately I crashed quite early on the race.
