1. Fish are classified as vertebrate animals.
An animal with a spine and bones is known as a vertebrate. Invertebrates, on the other hand, can be found in the sea. A jellyfish and a starfish, for example, both lack a spine.

2. Fish are quick!
Fish can swim quite quickly. Sailfish, marlin, and tuna are among the quickest. A sailfish can reach speeds of up to 68 miles per hour. A marlin can swim at speeds of up to 50 miles per hour, whereas a tuna can reach speeds of up to 47 miles per hour.

3. Fish need their gills to breathe.
Fish breathe through their gills. They are frequently discovered on the side of their bodies. Their gills are responsible for collecting oxygen from the water.

4. The majority of fish lack eyelids.
Imagine not being able to blink while swimming in the water. A shark is the only fish that can blink.
