A solar balloon is made of a black plastic envelop, which absorbs almost all solar radiation and thus allows it to go up naturally. However it goes down at sunset, leading research outside of school time and at night, and severely limits its use in high school. On the other hand, it can go to several tens of kilometers and we can not afford to abandon it because of all the components that can be embedded inside of the basket to study the atmosphere or soil. Therefore, we sought a way to cause its descent during the day at an altitude that is determined in advance. However, this does pose some security issues on which we also worked. The problem that we have answered is : How to shorten the flight of a solar balloon safely?
