Nadhira, is a Malaysian born singer-songwriter who grew up moving between London, Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur, absorbing the different musical influences. She began her musical adventure at the age of 9 when she first held a piano and discovered her love for music. Nadhira spent her teenage years composing and writing songs, which had then led her to release her EP, "From Malaysia with Love" (2010) with a showcase in Toronto, Canada. The release surprised her with three #1 on Malaysian radio charts ("Do It Again", "Breaking Up" & "You Got Me"). With the EP success, she opened for Iyaz and Kevin Lyttle at Fort Canning Park, Singapore in 2010.
A year after the EP release, Nadhira offered a breath of soul to revitalise the world of R&B in Malaysia when she came back with her maiden album "12 Shades" (2011), which is now available on iTunes. She began carving out her place in the Malaysian music industry and in the hearts of her fans, making waves through her #1 lead single "Tear Us Apart", which was on high rotation nationwide; especially on Malaysia's #1 English radio station Hitz fm. "Tear Us Apart" had begged Southeast Asia's VIMA 2012 Awards for "Best Pop/R&B Song". Her latest single, "Closer" is nominated for "Best Pop Song" and "Best Music Video" at VIMA Awards 2013.
As the ambassador of PUMA Malaysia, Nadhira performed at Islandic Sigur Rós led creative arts festival, Urbanscapes 2012, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Thus far, she has had the pleasure of wooing her audience in Canada, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines and recently, Australia. Nadhira kicked off 2013 by sharing the stage with All-4-One at The Curve New Year's Eve Street Party in Kuala Lumpur.
