Saykoshta / Seikoshta Karate with Larry Love from Utah. These are practical lessons. Martial Arts take years to learn and do many of the techniques properly. The majority of women and girls along with older people do not have the body strength needed to perform many of the movement unless they spend lots of time training so when you focus on movements that they can learn today that will work today that may be helpful to them. I don't discount pressure points because they are very useful and they don't take as much strength to perform but they do require more time to learn. Stamping on someone's toes or raking down their shin with your foot will work and some of these movements end up being more practical in the moment. I always encourage my students and others to take additional classes in their area. The concern for many of my students is that they cannot afford to take classes and many of my students don't fit in what you would call a traditional martial arts class. I constantly stress to my students that they should not fight at school if at all possible they should avoid fighting. I welcome your comments and please use this information prudently because as with any information you will be held accountable for how you use it. If your life is threatened and you poke someone in the eye to get away that is one thing although it is quite another to misuse the information when your life is not threatened.
