A costly British bull sells for a whopping $168,000.

Vexour Garth, a one-ton British animal sold for more than $150,000 at the recent Stirling Bull Sale in Scotland.

Beef farmers were delighted to see the 19-month-old Charolais bull. Now the prized bull has set a record for his breed with his hefty selling price.

The bull was sold to a United states based private enterprise, Livestock Capital Company. The animal came from a herd in Kent and the price topped last year’s record price by approximately $50,000 for a prized bull.

The high sale comes at a special time for the breed, given it is coming up on the 50th anniversary since the first Charolais bull was imported to the United Kingdom.

Earlier this year, another bull became famous for its auction selling price.

Named Fabio, the pedigree Limousin bull was only expected to sell for approximately $65,000 but instead he netted over $200,000. The original owner stated “I was very lucky that two of the wealthiest breeders in the country wanted him. It was unreal.”
